Insights · Power BI

Area-level data for Power BI, ready to join and visualise.

Load privacy-safe postal-code and regional signals into Power BI as ready-to-join tables, with scores, ranks, and top drivers for every area.

The question

How do we get trustworthy area-level data into our Power BI reports?

Analytics and BI teams often need area-level context in the reports they already maintain. AreaSignal delivers it as plain, well-documented tables that load into Power BI like any other data source.

What the tables look like

  • One row per postal code or region, keyed by a stable geography ID
  • Score, index, percentile, and rank for each area
  • Top drivers summarised per area

Typical uses

Add market potential to a sales dashboard, colour a store-network map by area index, compare regional campaign results with audience fit, or give planning teams one consistent area view across reports.

How it works

From brief to area-level output in three steps.

  1. Choose signals and geography

Pick the audience or market signals you need and the geography level your reports use, such as postal codes or regions.

  2. Receive ready-to-load tables

AreaSignal delivers the tables as CSV or Excel files, or to your Snowflake account or S3 bucket.

  3. Join and report in Power BI

Import the tables with Power BI's standard data connections and join them to your sales, store, or territory data on the postal-code or region key.

FAQ

Common questions.

Which columns are included?

Each row has the area key and name, score, index, percentile, rank, and a summary of top drivers.

How do updates work?

Refreshed tables keep the same structure and area keys, so your reports update without rework.

Can we join it to our own data?

Yes. Tables are keyed by postal code or region code, so they join to your sales, store, or territory tables in Power BI. AreaSignal does not need your customer data.

Does it work with other BI tools?

Yes. The tables are standard CSV, Excel, and warehouse tables, so any BI or analytics tool that reads those formats can use the same data.

Is any personal data included?

No. Every row describes a postal code or region. The tables contain no personal identifiers.
