Audiences · Retail, grocery, and CPG

AreaSignal Audiences for Retail and Grocery.

Find postal codes with stronger premium grocery and category potential for retail, grocery, and CPG campaigns, and activate them without user-level IDs.

The question

Which postal codes offer the strongest fit for our retail, grocery, or CPG campaign?

Retail, grocery, and CPG campaigns depend on where stores are, how dense retail is, and what spending context an area has. AreaSignal combines those area-level signals into ranked postal-code audiences that planners can explain and campaign teams can activate.

Example audiences

  • Premium grocery: postal codes with stronger premium grocery potential
  • Category fit: custom audiences for a specific CPG category
  • Store footprint: ranked postal codes inside your store network

Typical uses

Support a premium range launch, focus retail media around stores, give CPG campaigns a privacy-safe geographic layer, or compare regional opportunities before allocating budget.

How it works

From brief to area-level output in three steps.

  1. Pick an audience or share a brief

Start with a ready-made audience such as premium grocery, or describe your category, store network, and campaign objective.

  2. AreaSignal ranks the areas

Postal codes are scored with retail density, spending context, and household-composition signals at area level, then ranked against the national average.

  3. Review and activate

Review the ranked list and its drivers, then activate it through your DSP or hand it to campaign operations.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do you use loyalty card or purchase data?

No. Audiences are built from area-level data only. AreaSignal does not use loyalty, purchase, or other person-level data.

Can CPG brands use these audiences?

Yes. Grocery and category signals work for CPG campaigns as well as for retailers, and custom builds can focus on a specific category.

Can we limit the audience to areas around our stores?

Yes. A custom build can be restricted to the postal codes around your store network and ranked within that footprint.

Which categories are excluded?

AreaSignal does not build audiences for sensitive categories such as health, ethnicity, religion, political affiliation, financial distress, or minors.
